To get the year started off, we took a little roadtrip down to Cambria, California to catch up with some of the family. We were able to visit Helene, Barbara and Larry, Ricky, and Michelle and Gabriel. It was great to get together with the East Coast family and introduce the cousins to each other. We spent New Year's Eve in Cambria, having dinner with Larry and Barbara, getting Andrew to bed, and watching the ball drop on t.v. It was quite the relaxing New Year, but it was totally worth it to keep Andrew on his schedule.
The following day, we headed out to Morro Bay and visited the beach and the "rock". Since it was pretty chilly, we ordered Thai food to go, parked by the rock, and ate in the car watching the surfers. Mike has discovered that Andrew loves to drive and it does wonders to keep him occupied in the car.
As we were leaving, we spotted a playground with infant swings and decided to let Andrew try them out. It is no surprise to us that he LOVED them. He loves being thrown in the air and I guess the feeling is comparable.
Here are some pictures of Gabriel and Andrew meeting. They were very good together and by the end of the trip, we had them both laughing at a coffee table game that Ricky Todd thought up (sliding that little orange cup back and forth to them).
