A White Christmas

This year we decided to spend Christmas in Alpine, Wyoming at the ranch.  We got married there 6 years ago, have spend every summer there since, and wanted to enjoy it in the winter one last time as the Scofield's sold it and will have to move out in May.  We had great family time and had quite a bit to celebrate as Jen and Dan just got engaged!

 While we were in Wyoming, we spent about three days opening stockings, presents from under the tree, and playing games.  Between snow mobiling, sledding, skiing, and chatting about the wedding, we didn't have much time for anything else!  It was great being together and enjoying the wonderful Wyoming outdoors.

Opening presents.  Andrew was the entertainment.  Every time he would open a gift he would tear one little piece of paper at a time, hold it up in the air, and shout, "I got some paper!".  Then he would run to the garbage bag and do it all over again.  Each gift took about 10 trips to the garbage can!

Off on a snow mobile ride.  The boys would go out in the evening for 2-3 hours taking trips on these machines.  One time, they even made a fire and roasted hot dogs out in the middle of the countryside.

Billy brought hats for everyone and we played a little game that had all of us rolling on the floor with laughter.  Here are the hats we ended up with.

Jen was the expert snow mobile puller.

This says it all!  Billy sledding and Mike skiing.  Jen would pull them to the top on the snow mobile, swing them around, and shoot them down the mountain.  Fun times!!!

During our trip out to Wyoming, we were able to go up to Jackson and do a little skiing on one of the days.  We were also able to walk around Jackson Hole and drive by the Tetons where we saw moose, elk, buffalo, and bald eagles.  It was all quite an adventure.  We had a wonderful Christmas and cannot thank Steve and Dianna enough for hosting 12 of us in their teeny, tiny barn.  We were definitely warm and cozy and had a fantastic trip!
