A Day of Sledding

This weekend it snowed close to our house so we thought we should pack up the sleds and hit up the sledding hill. Our college friends, Kyle and Ashley were up visiting and we thought it would be a perfect day trip to take them up to Mormon Immigrant Trail.  We bundled up and hit the road.  When we arrived, it was necessary to do a little hiking to find just the perfect sledding hill.  Of course, we stopped to eat a little snow and take a family picture on the way up.

We ended up finding an ideal place and had it completely to ourselves! We started off pretty easy with Andrew, just letting him ride in the sled as we pulled it, but then graduated him to the big hill.  He didn't seem to mind and actually even enjoyed the ride.

Andrew seemed to be content hanging out on the blanket and was happy as long as he was out of the snow.  That freed us up to do a little sledding on our own.  Mike and I started out by racing, but that didn't go so well.  Mike seemed to have a difficult time keeping up with me and zoomed off the trail entirely.  So instead, we took turns sledding.  It was so much fun!

As you can see, we had a great adventure in the snow that day.  Overall, I think Abby ended up enjoying the day most of all!  She is definitely a snow dog!

Here is a little video Mike took of Andrew and I sledding down the hill!
