February Fun

This month flew by!  It seems like time goes by so much faster now that we have our new addition to the family. We did some fun things in February that I thought I should share.

Mike received sixth row seats to a Kings vs Jazz game from a student and his parents.  He was thrilled!  We found a last minute babysitter for Andrew and had a great time at the game!  Go Jazz!

We traveled up to Genoa with the Scofield's and went swimming at an indoor pool there.  Andrew LOVED the pool and is definitely a water baby.  We are really looking forward to the summer and swimming in the pool here at home.

We also took a trip to our college town, Turlock, to get our taxes done.  We took the opportunity to visit some friends, Amber and Dave and their little girl, Kaylin.  She is eighteen months old and had a great time with Andrew once she warmed up.  Here they are playing and taking a bath together.  Andrew loved her little motorized car and we enjoyed being able to visit while they played together.

Our friends, Michelle and Joey are following their dreams and moving from Gilroy to Hawaii this month.  We decided that we should pay them a visit before they left, so we headed to Gilroy one weekend.  We really enjoying catching up with them and helping them with their final yard sale.  We had a horrible night sleeping because we didn't bring a pak n play for Andrew.  This is the first trip we have been on with him crawling and I guess we just didn't realize how important the pak n play actually is.  Andrew ended up sleeping in bed with us that night, which meant that we didn't sleep at all.  We decided to cut the weekend short and go home.  This was the first time we had to change our plans for Andrew, but next time we will be better prepared.

Valentine's Day!  Mike showed his man skills and picked a fresh bouquet for me straight out of the yard!  I was so excited for this wonderful surprise.  We had a very relaxed Valentine's Day and went out to dinner to celebrate.

Wood!!!  Mike ended up buying a whole lot of oak that needed to be cut and split.  Here is just one pile of it.  We have spent the whole month working on cutting, splitting, and stacking the wood, but now have it done. Mike is always making sure that we are going to stay warm through the winter months.
